Randi Van Der Sloot is excited to join the faculty at
Harrisburg South Middle School. She is currently in her seventh year of
teaching. Mrs. Van Der Sloot will be
directing the 6th, 7th and 8th grade choirs and teaching the 7th grade music
enrichment. She will also be starting a
show choir at SMS this year in addition to working
with the drama/musical club and talent show. She is
excited to help the South Middle School students strive for excellence in
music.
Mrs. Van Der Sloot is a graduate of The University of Sioux Falls where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and a Master’s Degree in Education. She has been the director of several show choirs that have been named grand champions throughout the region. She is a free-lance motivational choreographer and team building specialist for show choirs, choirs, and theater productions across South Dakota, Minnesota, and Iowa.
In addition to working with middle school choirs, high school choirs, and show choirs, Randi loves spending much of her free time with her husband Marty, their daughter Aaralyn, her step son Mitchell (Go UNI Panthers!), and their dog Jessie!
